NYFW favorite shows from day 1, and spotted trends:

10 Crosby Derek Lam

The collection was inspired by the beaches of Zanzibar, and we can see the influence being nicely translated into the prints presented by the brand. White is going very strong for the season, as black and white, mules seem to be a strong bet (remember we talked about the trend here), just as the yellow, which seems to be one of the strongest complementing colors for Spring 2014.

BCBG Max Azria

BCBG presented one of the most interesting and beautiful shows to date. The brand is not usually known for their prints, but this time they were quite successful with what was developed for Spring 14. White was also a strong bet for the brand, just as well executed and deconstructed pieces that were quite desirable.

Creatures of the Wind

Designers Shane Gabier and Christopher Peters presented a collection that has western elements combined with a 1940’s vibe. The key elements for the desirable collection were the flower embroidery on some of the pieces, metallic details, as well as the shade of red used on dresses and tops.
